Number 1 still has a score of 76. Seeen it last weekend. My boss loves chinese and I asked him if he had seen the score and he said no I said Peek around the corner to your left and you'll see it. He came back from lunch and said Yep! But sure was good! LOL! I laughed and said Yeah that's what I said last week also when we ordered a 3 to go plates. But I sat there and watched "things" and Ummm.....I can understand the scoring due to some of the "rituals" for sure in watching the handling of "dirty" then "clean" at the same time with no gloves. No hand washing and yes my stomach flipped. Plus I had to put up with an obnoxious drunk while waiting on my foood. He wanted to talk and talk and talk and Hubby was out in the truck and when I got in the truck I told him NEXT TIME YOU CAN GO IN THERE AT NIGHT! I'M NOT!~Me crazy? Nah, just three teenagers, get back with me in the year 2010, we'll discuss it then.~ |

It's been that way for a while now Fawn. Not exactly sure but I do remember when Shadow posted the score and I believe it's been months and months ago. Cause he turned around and left.~Me crazy? Nah, just three teenagers, get back with me in the year 2010, we'll discuss it then.~ |

We went to the Chef's Table tonight & it was wonderful! We got the 4 course meal Vs/the 6 course meal. Great food & great company. We ended up paying for another couple's meal after we left because we had heard we had "too much fun at her birthday party". I hope she'll appreciate the kind gesture. Other than that dip in the evening, it was a very GOOD MEAL!Shaken, dirty, 4 Olives. |

What would the other two courses be? I can't imagine eating a 6 course meal?? We got apple pie at Monets Friday night and it was great. (also free, gary's birthday so he got to choose what he wanted)

Wow, that looks to fancy for me. I just like plain food. There was nothing on the menu that I could eat. Maybe they have a kids menu.

That Duckling Empanada and Chevre Stuffed Rack of Lamb sure sounds enticing! Perhaps with the Sweet Potato Bisque... Shadow

Coosa,The menu at The Chef's Table changes constantly, so if you don't like it one week, try the next. Also, they said the portions for the four course or six course meal are small enough that you can eat it all. When we went, we were trying to make the Beach Boys concert, so we didn't do the courses. There was a lot to choose from. The people we went with, went back again for Valentine's Day with another couple and said it was "Awesome". It's a very small romantic intimate place. Or, try it for lunch with your husband on a Saturday! It's not so fancy then. Bet you wouldn't be bothered there. Wildflower |

Maddy,I didn't know they had the web site up for The Chef's Table. I see they have Nutty Chicken Salad on the lunch menu. Funny thing; that's what I used to order when it was the Tater Ridge Cafe! I even used to buy the salad dressing for it, I was so addicted. I have to wonder if the former manager convinced them to put it on the lunch menu because it was so popular. Too funny. I used to tease him about selling the dressing commercially.

It's in the Shoppes of Tater Ridge. The restaurant used to be Tater Ridge Cafe and it's right next to the Christmas shop at the end.Lots of nice shopping there. Wildflower |

Someone said that Mike's is full at night. It looks dark in there too. I like dark restaurants.

I read a viewpoint in this week's paper where someone was complaining that Blairsville had no good restaurants.

Well that is simply not true Coosa, between Hiawassee, Blairsville and Murphy we've got more than enough variety and if you get bored of it scoot over to Helen for something different. We went to Huddle House after school today and we paid via credit card. After paying we found you can not leave a tip via credit. We had to take my boys snack money for that. Luckily we had that. My boy went from being the funniest joy to have dinner with to not a happy camper at all when we touched his snack money. Boy did that NICE lady feel guilty taking that tip. What could I do? That is funny! I never knew of a place that you can't leave a tip on your credit card. I think the viewpoint writer meant specifally Blairsville. Some people do not like to drive out of town after dark.
