That's so sad. Bad seed in a fine upstanding family too. Most of us know his parents and would never have guessed something like this could happen to such good people.God makes the lightning Bikers make the thunder

Wow, that is shocking. I'm sure the family will hire some high class lawyer for him. Not to sound mean or anything but wasn't there something "not quite right" with him anyway? Admin, if that's a bad statement delete it. Just goes to show you that it doesn't matter what kind of family you come from you choose your own destiny in life whether you come from a good family or a bad one.

Just read this on AJC.com. I was just reading the article and they said the name and later down in another paragraph it said Blairsville, Ga so I went back up to read it again and it dawned on me who it was.

"Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy -- a disorder in which a person induces or claims to observe a disease in another, usually a close relative, in order to attract the doctor's attention to herself or himself."
They did a documentary on this years ago. The person doing it is trying to get attention; not kill.
They do something to the patient just long enough to cause monitors to go off in the hospital, or give them just enough of a substance to induce an illness. They showed videos of parents doing this in hospitals. Wildflower Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me.
But deep down, I know that's not true.
Some of the smaller countries are neutral.

Well, he certainly has attention now. I do have alot of respect for his family tho, so I shall say no more. Many prayers for them all.Why can't I get a little ahead instead of a bigger behind? |

I believe he has bigger issues than that Munchausen Proxy. He's been in trouble with the law before.WF, the baby was not breathing when they came in. How can you believe that he wasnt trying to harm the baby? God makes the lightning Bikers make the thunder

I've read about this disorder and even tho the 'experts' say those affected do not intend to kill, a lot of times they do..and if not death, their victims are left with irreversible damage. I heard this call dispatched from 911 a couple of weeks ago, and this child WAS NOT breathing when 911 was contacted and EMS notified. Thank God our EMS got there when they did, and also that the hospital staff at Scottish Rite realized something was amiss and put the camera in the baby's room!! This is a sad situation, and yes, I think this young man needs help..BUT I also think and strongly feel, that he should be held accountable for his actions.

I did not say I believe anything. I was talking about what the documentary on "Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy" said. Wildflower Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me.

Michael had a brain injury due to a car wreck best I recall and although he was still Michael, he was not the same by far.. :( It did affect him.. however, this is all very sad. My heart goes out to the family and THANK GOD that the baby didnt die.. I just pray now that all the times of cutting the babys airway short hasnt affect the babys brain too. :( This is tragic.. very."You can't judge people based on their actions, when you're judging yourself based on your intentions" |

He does needs help.. that I do believe most would agree.. and by being held accountable for his actions, that may have a significant step to the help he needs as well.. I dunno.. I am not a judge or medical expert.. to even say what I have..
