The Community Council invites you to our Nature Inspires Open House this Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Come enjoy some time in our Ethnobotanic Gardens and Woodland Medicine Trail on the grounds of The University of Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center. Artisans will be throughout the Gardens displaying and demonstrating how nature inspires their creativity. See shirts dyed with natural plant dyes, flowers created from corn husks, baskets from gourds and even a few edible creations. In addition, our Garden Guides will be on hand to answer your questions about the native plants. The Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center is located three miles south of the Blairsville square on Highway 129.
