Did anyone see the news story last about Ga. GPA averages for the year ending 2011? Highest in GA was 2.78 for Fayette County. the top 20 were all metro Atlanta schools. WSB TV said there was a list on their website of all schools but I could not find it. Would be interesting to see where UCHS ranked?

I did manage to get some info on the state GPA averages for the ending school year. This is far from official, so don't crucify me.
Fayette County students had the highest GPA among students graduating in 2011 with 2.78. The top 10 were all metro schools with a GPA of 2.58 on average per student.
The next 20 highest all had 2.0 or less. On a 3.0 gpa scale, if you are in the 1.9 range does that mean you are graduating a senior class with a "C" average. GADS, I hope not. If so, what does that say about our educational system?
Union County High School actually shows pretty good in comparison. Woody Gap's score reflects the small number of first year freshman and how easily their scores are affected even by a single individual.
