A 5.4 mile section section of the Appalachian Trail from Neel's Gap over to Jarrard Gap near Lake Winfield Scott and Suches has been closed to camping until further notice because of a bear problem. The closing of the section

It's still open for day hikes though.

i hardly suggest dont bring food from helen there, the bear will sure enjoy that.
