I'm picking this conversation up from another part of the forum and moving it here. The drought status across Georgia has been much improved this spring as we've seen week after week with rain pouring down on us.
Drought hasn't left Union County completely yet, but we are at the lower stage of drought now and that only in the southeast corner of the county. Three or four weeks ago, most of the county was listed as abnormally dry and about half was marked as moderate drought. A couple of weeks before that had part of Union County as severe drought.
You can track current drought status in Georgia on the U.S. Drought Monitor here: http://drought.unl.edu/DM/DM_state.htm?GA,SE

The UGA Rainfall Totals for the state also provides insight into our current or former drought conditions: http://www.caes.uga.edu/topics/disasters/drought/totalrainfallmap.html
