Statement as of 7:18 PM EDT on June 23, 2008

... Significant weather alert for 45 mph winds in Gilmer... Union and
Fannin counties until 745 PM EDT...

At 718 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
strong thunderstorms from Loving to 11 miles southwest of Oasis...
moving east at 36 mph.

Wind gusts of 45 mph are possible as these storms move across
Gilmer... Union and Fannin counties through 745 PM EDT. Some
locations in the path of these storms include
Oasis... Higdon... Epworth... Mineral Bluff... Blue
Ridge... Loving... Ellijay... Hurst... Cherry Log...
and Pisgah.

Arthritis hates rain.. but the gardens love it.. :)

Heard thunder, saw black clouds but no rain on my end, not yet anyway. It would be nice to get a big thunderstorm, it makes good sleeping weather.
