Mr. Bill: Thanks for posting the red roofed barn on Town Creek Sc. Rd. I did a painting of it a couple years ago, and it brings back memories. It is my favorite barn up here.
If you want to see it follow the below link.

Bill, these pictures are really good! Now a couple of questions if you don't mind.
Picture one is a shot with the mountains in the background. Are pictures two and three taken from the same location, but with a zoom lens?

In pictures two and three there is a structure visible on the top of one of the peaks. Do you know what the structure is?

I've  had folks down here ask why we are moving to north Georgia......These are just part of the reasons!

That is Brasstown Bald. If you havent been to the top then you really should go. That structure is where the webcam you look at is located.

Yes, Gray, the first, second and third pictures of Brasstown Bald are taken from the exact same place, utilizing my zoom lens to bring the mountain closer and trying to frame it in an interesting manner.

And as PCM noted, that's the observation tower on top of Brasstown Bald.

Scott, I can't paint, but I admire those who can. I have to depend on finding the beauty already in place and capturing it with my camera.

Yes, traveling Town Creek in either direction is a real eye-popper, both mountain vistas and pastoral. Regardless of the season, always enjoyable.

These were shot from the second floor of the house in Trackrock Overlook before it was buttoned-up. I shudder to think what that knoll is going to look like if/when all the lots are built on. Oh well, private property and all.

An interesting perspective is from Brasstown, looking down it's a big bowl with one side broken open.Go to Top of Page

I've always wanted to build a house in the edge of the woods, on top of the little hill across from that old barn and fields. Could you imagine looking out on that view every day...Beautiful!!
