If it's not already understood, we reserve the right to edit or delete any restaurant review posted so that you're not doing evil. Google has a mantra that I admire called "Do no evil". I like that mantra a lot. It is possible to state that you did not like a restaurant without being obnoxious or offensive. You can say "I found the staff slow to respond and the food lukewarm" and, along with the stars, get the point across that you didn't like the restaurant without saying "The stupid manager was leering at me and looked like he hadn't bathed in two weeks and the food looked and tasted like something my cat puked up." If you post the latter, I am going to delete it every time. Not only that, but I'll delete every other review you posted at the time because I know your intent was evil when you posted them.If you've got a single sentence in there that crosses the line, I'll leave the review and delete the sentence. I hope that's clear enough for everyone. Do no evil - it's a mantra we would all do better living by.

Can you say that someone didn't wash their hands when going back to the kitchen after going to the bathroom? I haven't seen that, but just in case...can it be noted as something factual? Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be. Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865) |

Certainly...that's a public health issue that's against the health code. It would need to be a personal observation, however.

OK, this topic has drawn me back... I gotta tell what happened at the Taco Bell in Blue Ridge not too long ago.
We had stopped to grab a light bite and we were in a hurry and Taco Bell was handy. We were just finishing up when I looked over to where they were preparing the food. There were two employees at the time. I observed one of the employees reach in her short sleeve and scratch her arm pit, then, without washing, she grabbed shredded cheese and sprinkled it on an unsuspecting drive-thru customer's food. I almost lost the taco I had just eaten. That night, when we were home, I pulled up the Taco Bell website and filed a complaint, complete with all my contact information. A couple weeks later, I did get a form letter from their HQ including a coupon for free food from a Taco Bell. A week or so later, the manager from the Blue Ridge Taco Bell called me. She told me they had determined which employee I was talking about, and that she had been talked to and written up. The employee claimed she was "fixing her bra strap." Well, you don't fix a bra strap from the under side of your sleeve! The manager also told me that employee was still working, but was no longer allowed to handle food and would only be running the register/taking orders. The manager also told me she was hoping I would give them another chance. I told her "no" and that I would not even use the coupon that was sent to me. I also told her I had told others about what had happened. When it comes to the health and safety of the food we eat, people need to know when stuff like that happens.
It was disgusting to see, 'specially right after I had finished eating something prepared by these employees.

I was wondering, Mr. Bill, if you were referring to the Restaurant Reviews on the page listing Restaurants, their ratings, and the reviews, this thread, OR both?GrayEagle <:))))<>< America: Romans 1:18-32 II Chron 7:14 |
