Any recommendations or info on any business that caters for big events/weddings, etc?

Moschetto's is very well set up for this. They would be my first choice in the area. How fancy or down home you looking to go? Are tralking fried chicken or foie gras? I think the former owners of "the chief's table" are doing higher end stuff.

Moschetto's is a favorite of mine.  They have a wide variety of salads too that are excellent.

Don't want anything too fancy. Fried chicken sounds good to me! :) It's for a wedding that's not too casual but not real hoity-toity (lol, sp?) either.

Thanks y'all! You've helped a bunch already!

Don't know if my reply is too late, but the lady (Yolanda) at Victoria's Sweet Shop does catering. She did a gathering for me recently and it was wonderful!!!

JawJa,

Just got over here and saw this - sorry so late!

I noticed where you said "not too fancy", so I thought about where I used to work. The dining hall at Young Harris College does catering as well. As little or as much as you want, you pick the menu, they deliver, set up, and will even serve if you want. Their prices were pretty competitive as well. I don't know who is there now, so not sure who to tell you to ask for. If you drive to the back where the loading dock is, you'll see the door. Go in there and the office is straight ahead.
