Finally stopped in this afternoon and picked up 2 lbs of sea scallops and two nice sized salmon fillets. (They are flash frozen.)  They are having their grand opening tomorrow with lots of free samples but it looks like the rain might spoil things.  I'll let you know how we like the fish.

It's on the hill across from the Post Office - next to The Griddle Restaurant.

Is this place in addition to Blairsville Seafood (Mike's)? How many seafood places can our town support? This is weird to me - someone please explain!

This restaurant/store is NOT affiliated with Mikes Seafood. Seafood to go is ultra fresh seafood. The owner still lives in FL and comes up here weekly with the freshest seafood. His parents live in Blairsville. He owns a store in FL too is what I understand. Their crab and shrimp dips are the best i've tried in awhile. They cook the seafood or you can take it home to cook. I hope they do well, they are super nice people! I met them last year before they were even planning this business and I tried some of their items! I was impressed! I think they had their ribbon cutting ceramony today but I was in Atlanta today and didn't get to go. Good luck to them, I hope they do well!

This store is a great addition to our town.  I've been going to Atlanta or NC for our seafood.  It's sooo much nicer than the fish you get in the grocery stores.

Well I don't think it's a matter of how many seafood places Blairsville can accomodate, I think it's a matter of who has better seafood. I tried Mike's several times and it was not up to parr for me. A lot of you love it, so I must not have ordered the right thing, but their crab was cold and chewy and expensive and on paper plates, that's not my kind of seafood joint. Their clam chowder was not the best, Grinds and Glazes has better and the fish and chips was just so so to me, but everyone is different and that is why they are doing so well.

I wish them both the very best of luck. Mike's is always booming when I drive by, so I'm glad they're here and doing well.
