The Blairsville-Union County Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Christmas Parade starting at 4:00pm. This year’s theme is “Favorite Christmas Stories.”

Did y'all get pictures from the parade or any other event this year? I don't give hootie tootie if you use mine, but why aren't pics of parade on the site? I noticed in the "what's new" area is all 2006. ??

Hi Maddy,
Yes, we have gotten your pictures - thank you for sending them. We certainly expect to use them, but setting up the photo galleries takes time, and time is not something we've had a lot of over the last few months. Blairsville.com is one of the many things we are actively involved in, and sometimes it is further down the list than other activities - and sometimes it is higher.
The What's New does need to be updated - we've just gotten behind in using that page to post things - typically we've just used the forums instead. But 2007 has gone by in a flash it seems, due in no small part to the large and unusual types of activities in which we've personally been involved. Now that 2007 is effectively behind us, though, we can hopefully use 2008 as the year to begin some exciting and needed changes to Blairsville.com.
Thanks again for your photos, and we'll let everyone know when we've got them loaded into the albums.

I was out of town for this day and didn't get to participate in all the wonderful Holiday on the Square events (or get pictures of them going on). Maddy, if you've got more pictures to share, we'll be glad to include them when we put the gallery together with the ones you already sent.
