This is tonight! The roads leading to the Square will be closed at 5:30pm, to allow businesses whose day ends at 5:00pm to get their employees out if they need to. Activities start promptly at 6:00pm. If you get there early, please proceed to the old Courthouse grounds until the start time.
You also might consider eating supper on the Square. Papa's Pizza will be selling pizza by the slice, in addition to their regular menu items. So come on down for a hauntingly good time!

We had a great time! It was way too packed to go to every booth. Lil one got tired 1/2 way through & said she was done. Very good event for all, I believe.Let Coosa Back, we're bored! |

We've got this Halloween thing down, we started, as always early and quickly conquered every booth. Tons of fun, bugger struck gold, with 1.5 bags of candy. Had lots of fun!I'm thinking it would have been cool for them to have some picking and dancing in an area, but then they'd never clear the area out. Saw Maddy and family and she blew me away, I could barely recognize her, she looked GREAT!!!!! (this does not mean she did not always look great, but dang girl!!!!) That's so cute Sue. Halloween has always been one of my favorites too. Saddly there is now a new Elvira. Guess she is getting old like all of us.

Closing the Square off from traffic definitely made things safer this year. And all the law enforcement and volunteer personnel really kept an eye on things. But I have a bunch of questions for you about the event - How did this year's Halloween on the Square compare to last year's? Did you take advantage of Papa Pizza's pizza specials? Was the lining-up done better? Could you see the costume contest better this year? Was there anything missing that would have really added extra appeal? Was anything there that shouldn't have been there? Where did you park? Folks really turned out for this event. Lots of smiles and laughing and greetings again this year like last.

Good questions! I didn't see the costume contest. Where was it? The lines were too long for my little one. We tried to go at it backwards & find an open space. Went around near the Foodland & all we saw was mobs of people. With 2 kids with us that are 6, we decided not to even stand in the mess. My little one was more interested in finding her friends from school than she was at getting candy. She was done with it less than 1/2 way around. I really am happy with the businesses that participated in this event. They really came out and did it up right! Maybe it's too many in a small space together that ties the lines up?? We didn't go to Papa's Pizza, but it was a GREAT deal! We parked near Zaxby's where those model homes are & walked up. The community should be very proud of the police and the event cordinators for this event. VERY good job!!! Let Coosa Back, we're bored!

We were there, but the only B-ville.com'ers I saw were Mr. Bill and I did see Cherry, her hubby and Bugger but they walked by so fast, we didn't get to stop them...we were in line, and we all know you don't want to get out of that line once you are in. The boys wanted to go looking for Bugger after, but we could not find him after that! The event was really nice. It is very nice of the businesses to do that for the kids. It gives them a safe, fun place to trick-or-treat. The closing of the road was the best thing that they did! It made it sooo much less stressful. The lines were quite long, though, but I can't see any way they can improve upon that. It is what it is...with all the families we have here! It does give you a chance to sit back and watch the other little ghosts and goblins and meet up with some friends. However, like Maddy's little one, mine were "done" at a certain point. Which was fine with me, they received more candy than I'd like to see them eat any time soon! :) Cherry is right...music would be really nice!!!!!!!!! And, maybe some vendors selling drinks! I'd sure buy them! And, the games...last year there were so many more and my kids loved that, and were looking for it this year. I guess it's not an easy thing to arrange, so I can understand! All in all, we appreciate all that was done for our kids to have a safe, fun and memorable Halloween Night. Thank you to ALL who made that possible! :)

I just thought of something that the planning group should consider next year is, if you buy a certain amount of coke products from Coca Cola, they will let you have (if available) that coke trailer for the 24 hr. period. It would be good for those drink sales!! Let Coosa Back, we're bored!

Chris and Colleen and any others involved in the Halloween Square festivities, Thanks so very much for your efforts!!! My 4yr old (Spongebob), his grandmother, and myself went and had a wonderful time! Great idea to close the roads and make it a safe and open event. As newcomers to the area (moved from Alabama in April) we can't compare it to other years, but I (and my son) REALLY loved it. Thanks so much.
