Several post ago I stated that Lamar Paris was bringing Union from the "rural" image to a cosmopolitan aera by instituting the driveway paving ordinance. I sated he was bring Union along "one step at a time"Now the City of Blairsville has recieved a grant to install 2 ,12 inch water mains and to loop them for optimum hydralics. The startling part is the original lines were "dead end" which basically means no water at the end. So, I guess that means the City of Blairsville is taking steps to provide adequate water and fire protection within the city limits. Maybe, Union County will do likewise and begin to install adequate size water mains and hydrants in the county. Yes. "one step at a time" to the future. Shucks |
