Yesterday, I was driving around trying to remember which number on the dial the new radio station is at. I knew it was 90-something, and that it had a "1" in there. No matter where I went on the dial, I just couldn't find it.Anyway, I just drove over to Blairsville, and I saw a sign on the side of the road that said . . .
"95.1 THE BEST MIX IN THE STIX!"
So I tuned in.
The first thing I heard was . . .
"Congratulations! You found us!" Too funny.
The first song I heard was a Rolling Stones song I had never heard before, and it was great. Then, they played three songs in a row I also had never heard - two were rock n roll, one was country. All had great lyrics and I was loving the fact that they seemed to buck the Top-40 formula and go for more obscure songs in addition to the tried and true.
Then they played Tracey Chapman's "Fast Car", which I love.
As I was pulling into the garage, a guy with a smug tone in his voice said . . .
"Those big stations in Atlanta only have 200 songs in rotation, WE have 201."
Cracked me up.
All I can say is Wow, Wow, Wow! They are doing a great job. Evidently they're intelligent AND funny. Also, I had no idea my car radio could sound that good - the sound is so crisp and clear.

Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me.
But deep down, I know that's not true.
Some of the smaller countries are neutral.
