Jared Putnam, Union Sentinel Editor, has accepted position at the Forsyth County News as the sports editor. Sports is what he really loves to do so this is a great opportunity for him. We will miss you Jared.

Jared, congratulations. The forsyth County News is a great newspaper.I continue my subscription to keep up with things.

Forsyth has great sports programs with 4 high schools playing in 4A. and 10 middle schools playing 7th and 8th grade football pluss the JV programs. There will be a lot to cover but I know you will do well.

Thanks! I do read this board regularly, though I tried to limit my posts while I was at the Sentinel.

I will miss being in Blairsville on a day-to-day basis, but I will still be around on occasion.

Thursday was my last day at Union and Friday was my first day at Forsyth, so out of the frying pan...
