The Towns County Herald was delivered today, and the front page is an instant headache.

Headlines:

"Rash of Towns County Burglaries Being Investigated"

"Local Business Owners Now Being Investigated" (Designer Threads)

"Two Drug Traffickers Convicted In Towns County Court"

"Rudy Eller Pleads Guilty and Resigns"

"Local Woman Dies in Auto Accident"

"Hiawassee Water Restrictions"

"No Fire Permits At This Time"

"Our Elderly Are In Danger During These High Heat Periods" (and our electric company is being strained)

And let's not forget the photo of a local garage that almost burned down. The fire department was able to contain the fire.

Sheesh!

I still love living in Towns County. None of this has affected me personally, except to clue me in to how full of B.S. some of our local public officials and prominent people are.

But, if I worked as a Realtor in Towns County, I think I'd be hiding the local paper from potential buyers this week!

Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me.
But deep down, I know that's not true.
