Sgt. Jason Harkins, of Clermont, GA was laid to rest Friday May 18th. Sgt. Harkins had been serving in Iraq and was killed in an attack along with five other soliders in Baghdad. A procession from Clermont to Cleveland and back was lined with people holding the red, white, and blue in Sgt. Harkins' honor.

More information is available from Access Atlanta and WNEG.

Very sad! Prayers need to be said for all the families who have lost loved ones there, who have loved ones there and for ALL our troops that are sitting on "standby" at this minute. This kind of stuff just kills me...on the inside. I can't imagine my sons being there. Or daughter. It's hard to comprehend what a mother/father feels when their child is serving for a country that is of the Free yet here we are still fighting for the Free. I support our troops, but it's high time they get home.
