Ric Hurd, of Blairsville, GA, will deliver this year's commencement speech to the graduating seniors of Temple Baptist School in Asheville, North Carolina.
Ric, his wife Beth, and their children spent 10 years as a missionary family in Paraguay.
Aside: I remember Ric and Beth fondly during my participation in Faith Baptist Church's youth group. Ric taught my Bible Study class. I was impressed then at the strength and steadfastness of his faith, while I was only beginning to find my own. And I remember how they showed fun and Bible study could go together.
