Jawja any idea what the annual fee is for the concerts? They told me, but I can't remember.

Sounds like lots of fun to me!

Mostly country music with classic rock and roll too. No I'm sure the tickets dont sell out because it's outside.

Plus it's a very family oriented place so take your bugger, Cherry. He will love it.

Sundown is good. The leader used to have private parties and we went to all of them. Too bad they start so early!

Well I do not know what is wrong with Blairsville, but NO ONE attended this awesome event. Hubby went there early to get us a good spot and it was a joke, NO ONE was there.

This concert was great, the band was awesome, nice music, anyone could enjoy.

If I say 50 people were there, it's not true and it was only $7.50.

What's going on Blairsville?

This restraunt and lodge is pure class, stainless steel sinks, tile floors, great food, open for anyone to lounge and enjoy. Nothing stuffy.

I'm really confused, but at this rate, this place is going to go out of business and for the life of me, I've got no idea why??????

Perhaps scheduling it on the Relay for Life weekend where everyone has given so much of their time and money already is not the wisest choice?

That said, I do not believe that Copperhead's business model is built around Union County residents, but is geared more towards attracting metropolitan Atlanta residents who want to get away for a weekend.

So the better question is probably, "What's going on Atlanta?"

Well I can understand the Relay For Life, but not being geared towards Blairsville? How can a nice restraunt not be geared towards Blairsville, or live music? I would think that's an asset to have around.

Anyway I hope it picks up, I'd hate to see them go under, but it does not look good from what I've seen.

Shadow

I think you are right Shadow, I do believe this place was a weekend get-a-way for people not from here. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but the "Gay-Pride" festival is this weekend in Atlanta.

Shadow and Star, that way of thinking is exactly what's wrong with the Lodge. Yes it was in the beginning geared more towards a weekend destination for out-of-towners but they quickly changed their minds and are trying to become more community involved. Local bands, etc. If more people like you guys would go out and see and then tell all your friends what you think about it, it would generate a lot more local business. Yes, the cabins are bought mainly by out-of-towners but the restaurant and the lodge and the concerts are for everybody. Local and non-local.

Cherry, I'm glad you enjoyed your meal and the concert as well. I do hope you go out to more events and the restaurant even when there is no event going on. It's really a great place.

Ha Ha...Might just buy me some tickets to find out a few things Lol!

My kids were raised right where this lodge is...Odd huh? Their babysitter's lived there. Of course the house is gone now.

Is the music loud enough the neighbor's can hear it? big smile I know a few I could go "see" for awhile. That would be my frugal doings for the day!

I think starting a concert at 4 pm in the heat of the day is not very wise. I would go to a concert, but not in this heat!!

Lady, I'm confused. I didnt realize that you had a problem with the Lodge. Would you mind elaborating?

Coosa, I'm sure they start at 4pm so that they can get finished before dark. Maybe it's an ordinance and maybe they are just being considerate of the neighborhood. Enough of them seem to complain about the noise but at least they arent up and partying all night long like some biker hangouts. I would rather go to a concert at 4 instead of one at 10pm. Especially when it's a family oriented place and concert.
