No, no your hand was not in the cookie jar. And I know some untrue things were said about you and your business. Being as they were transfers from this site, I hope they don't do that here.I have been posting on this site for a while. Since back when Tim owned it. The Boemann's have done the most for the site and the ideas they mentioned earlier were good ones. I have high hopes for what this site will become, and that's why I was trying to stir up a sense of competition as false as it may be.

I think all the forums have something different to offer. I think a good feature that admin put on here was the shotgun alley. It's going well.

Maddy, I didnt sign up on the other one until I found out what had happened with the slandering of a local business and a woman who does dedicate her time and interest in well being to the community..
Then I tried to find the good in the site, and useful areas and there are some people who post over there that are really good peoples.. and well.. its like you said, its too negative for me too and also the fact that this was "home" as far as our hometown website went, Ive been an actual member since 2003 with a name change in 2004 to Daughterofconfederate.. and I knew that the Brothers have had nothing but good intentions and I knew what progress they had already underway before the other website made their airways.. and had been working on that already.. I saw with my own eyes their plans for shotgun ally.. and then I had to wonder what all the fuss from others were to have a place on this site to go to and then they have not put it to much use.. I guess that could be a good thing too.. Negative energy does not seem to be a influence inwhich attracts long lasting participation.. for either sites.. I just recoginize all the hard hours, good intentions and hospitality that the Brothers offer here.. and I personally thank them.. they have went way beyond any expectations of providing enjoyable, educational and a place that we can all come to..

HoneyBee you have to use the Advanced Editor (or whatever it's called) when you post a reply in order to use the pic thing. On the 2nd line down on the list of features there is a box that has little mountains in it. Click on that and it will pull up a smaller box. Paste the url to the pic in that box.

Man, I hadn't checked out the other forum since it had the goofy dude in the tux talking. I read some of their postings today and was amazed. It's like the Internet Wild West. Bullying and pot shots at individuals and other posters are rampant. Heaven help any public figure.Certainly not my cup of tea. Honeybee and others who post there are pretty brave IMO.

Can I get the link to the other Blairsville forum?As far as here, I really dislike the idea of ignore user, but we've been there, discussed that. Perhaps we could delete topics we truely dislike and never want to visit again? That would make my viewing screen so much smaller and easier to manage. Cherry, I don't like the other forum over there either. It's a cut throat for the most part. Also, I have worked in a County facility and some of the cut throating that goes on in the Political parts is awful. I just don't care much for drama. After working all day long, who wants to come home to a soap opera? It's good for the ones who like to "keep up with the latest" but for those of us who have enough to worry about without meddling in others business...It's not for them.Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.

OK, I know I'm not the most observant person on the forum (or anywhere else for that matter)! What I want to know is how long has the number of people currently on the forums been listed under the login/logout and review policies area? Yes, I just saw that tonight! I usually went to the home page to see that!

Because the forums are in a separate "part" of Blairsville.com, they show the number of people actually browsing the forums. The number on the home page is only the number of people who have visited specifically the home page - so all the users that go straight to the forums without stopping by the home page aren't counted there. Also, even if you go to the home page first and then to the forums, if you don't go back to the home page, it forgets you were there and doesn't count what you're doing in the forums.
Hope this helps explain it... We'll eventually upgrade the feature so that the same number works everywhere.
