i think I posted about this before, but don't know where.

I understand the grading next to Ingles is for a new strip mall shopping center. One of the tenants will be Family Dollar, the one next to Ingles. That leaves the old Ingles vacant except Ingles. Look for major renovation at Ingles, taking over all the space and making it a premier store. I can dream can't I.

Shucks I talked to one of the truck drivers that's hauling dirt there and he said the guy that bought the property was just filling it in for now. No development in the works as of yet.

Shucks,

I was told by a friend in Blairsville, that your Ingles IS going to expand in a big way in that spot - that they are going to take over a lot of space and remodel.

Was that wrong?

WF,havent't heard for sure about Ingles, but do know that Family Dollar will expand in the new shopping center, assuming it will be constructed. I cannot see Ingles just staying there in a mostly vacant shopping center that is rag tag at best and not doing something. If they don't remodel and expand it is an insult to the people of Blairsville, by assuming that the citizens don't deserve any better.

The Ingles in Blue Ridge is adding a pharmacy and gas station right now. Maybe a big push in North Ga? The chain is out of NC.

Now my dream would be a Publix in Blairsville.

I second the motion for a Publix, that is the best grocery store ever, their deli foods are great, espically their chicken wings!

Until we get a wealthier county here, there won't be a publix. Sorry!
We're friends with a "high up" guy at Publix.

Unforgiven told us 2 years ago that Ingles was going to expand into the old Ingles but so far nothing has happened.

Ingles needs to step up on their expiration dated items. They have tons of expired products on the shelves.
I hope they revamp that shopping center they are in now.

Maddy, Ingles is not in a shopping center, they are located in an unclean building that has outlived it's economic usefulness and either should be demolished as an eyesore or renovated into a respectible grocery store.

I am in a good mood today, bah humbug.

No Publix???? Oh, no. That is one thing I will not like.
Have to get a petition going for a Publix. Maybe I will bring one up there with me in our moving van.Go to Top of Page

The nearest one is in Canton. It's the only thing I miss from Florida. So, when you move up here be prepared to put your cooler in the car and drive to Canton to load up on Publix stuff from time to time. Might as well make a day of it and hit some of the other stores while you are there.

Peanuts,
Sure, I can bring Target and Publix. Pick out a spot for us unload them.
Anywhen else have a request, just place your order now. However, the following list is of things I absolutely refuse to bring up there.
1. Hurricanes
2. Crime including, but not limited to, driveby shootings, home invasions, road-rage murders, gangs, car-jacking.
3. Oppressive humidity.
4. Alligators and sharks
5. Urban sprawl
6. Unbearable traffic
7. Rude people
8. Oh yes, and did I mention hurricanes?

Things I wish I could bring:

1. DWade and Shaq
2. Publix, Target, Macy's and our favorite Italian deli.
3. My Bougenvillia(sp) bush
4. My wonderful new neighbors and friends

heartga,
DWade and Shaq would have to play on the outdoor courts at Meeks Park. I'm not sure any place around here could handle Pat Riley's do!

DWade and Shaq can play in my backyard I'll ask them, hehe. Riley won't leave his ocean.

Well, 325 and Murphy it is then. That will be good for all of us so far.Go to Top of Page
