wind advisory in effect from 8 am to 6 pm edt Saturday

The NWS in peachtree city has issued a wind advisory, which is in effect from 8 am to 6 pm edt Saturday.

Winds are expected to become strong and gusty across much of north georgia Saturday as a low pressure moves off the northeast u.s. Coast and high pressure builds across the southeast u.s. Behind it.

Expect winds generally in the 15 to 25 mph range with gusts up to 30 mph possible. Higher elevations could see winds gust up to 40 mph.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Drivers are advised to use extra caution.

Due to the wet ground, these strong winds could bring down shallow rooted trees.

Rough chop could occur on area lakes. Boaters should also use extra caution.

WSB drops capital letters and uses lower case.

Invited or not invited, God is present.
