A reminder about tomorrow's Gardening on the Square event. We've also posted information about it on our News page. This is a good opportunity to roll back the sleeves and help freshen up the look of the Square. It's also a good time to look around the Square, and run through the different priorities identified previously in revitalizing the Square and see what feedback (or help) you could provide on those priorities. We each walk a unique path to get to where we are now, and we pick up unique sets of skills along the way. No one person can know what's best - interaction and cooperation are the key to finding synergy in plans and solutions. Feel free to offer feedback in this and the other forums here centered around the Downtown Revitalization Program.

Shadow just remember "This, too, will pass." Hopefully, you and the family will still be able to help. Wouldn't it be nice if there were several B'villers there? Hopefully JC will be there taking pictures and doing a write-up!GrayEagle "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living; the world owes you nothing; it was here first." Samuel Clemens |

It's raining really hard right now....and it is going towards town, not away from it (storm headed east). We might still head in to town once the rain abates, but I don't think planting is supposed to be done in wet dirt.

The plantings around the square still look nice, even with all this heat, and compliments the Garden Club's efforts very nicely. Congrats and thanks to whomever has taken on the responsibility for watering those sure-to-be-thirsty plants.

I dont know whats goin on in this area.. but ya know what I like? I like goin into BILO and seeing downtown history on the walls even if they are mostly in the restrooms.. I wished people would go through their pics of downtown and make copies to donate to local businesses so folks can look on walls, and see what Blairsville used to be.. and where it is now.. that would be part of a design wouldnt it? I sure would respect that.. for one."We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery."Samual Smiles |
