With the way that gas prices are, it would be nice to have a store like WalMart nearby.

I have a friend that's been with WalMart for 15+ years. She tells me that the starting pay is $6.00 an hour, no full time for new employees, and that her store (Ellijay) is so short-handed they can barely manage it.

EIK! I best get my halloween costumes out! Yeah.. 4 costumes! I had put on layaway.. it is easier for me to pay a lil when I have a lil than to sometimes come up with the whole lump sum.. and stuff like that.. is what I work for.. I work for the kids stuff and what ever else goes to hunny.. yeah sounds backwards doesnt it? EIK! This is a peeve with me too Topey! Those layaways have been God sent!

I know whatcha mean Doc...some of us can't afford to pay all at once. I usually do layaway for Christmas, but unless I go before tomorrow, that won't be happenin'.

They took a hit in sales last year so of course they are going to try to save anyway they can. Sucks for y'all, but I hope it brings them back to the way a good business should be run.

They are just surverying the property & seeing if it's buildable. They can still back out. it's a wait & see. Then, a "told ya so".

Would be great if we could get a Walmart in Blairsville! I am tired of driving all the way to Dahlonega or Murphy.

The VTECH machine we bought for our son that was one of the big BLITZ SALE ITEMS.. went to get him some more games tonite and guess what.. Walmart is doing away with them! They will no longer carry them.. that sucks! However, I hope to get the games elsewhere!

Read this tonite.. sounds like something is beginning to appear obvious for transitions to be made..
