How about "rate the restaurant" topic to see what people think about restaurants in the surrounding area. give us your first hand opinion, warts and all.

I visited the local catfish restaurant Saturday evening, met some friends and had dinner. (no alcohol,he says with tongue in cheek). I had steak since I do not eat catfish(before someone says anything, I was invited, I did not pick the restaurant)

I thought the service was good, friendly waitress, the ambiance was typical for a catfish restaurant, food was average but I thougt it was way overpriced for the type food and the quality. I did tip 20% however.

Do you have an opinion of a local restaurant?

I'm not knocking your topic but I didnt know if you knew that there is a restaurant review at the top of the page. You can go there and see how many stars the rest. has and then view what others think about it. Personally I dont eat out a lot so I really cant rate one for you right now. This is a good topic to see what we rate them as instead of what anonymous people say but I thought you might want to check out the rest topic at top of page too.

Not sure if admin will keep this topic, but here I go.

Enrico's in Hiawassee was awesome...the appetisers, soup, drinks, excellent. Main course was less tasty, but not one thing I could complain about, but flavor.

Love it.

The Pancho Special at Monte Albun is great! Always a bit different, but great.

Breakfast at Brother's in Murphy is fabulous as well as breakfast at the Sawmill.

When I want onion loaf and ribs, rib country is good enough for me. The kids and I all split one order and we are well pleased.

Yacht club in Hiawassee is great for anything you would expect from a city sports bar, good food, good atmosphere, fun people.

Crabs at the barn door on a regular (expensive night) are great, I say that only because I have not been for crab night and they may or may not be the quality you get when you pay high dollar.

Either way, all well enjoyed.

P.S. Paci's pizza in Hiawassee is top rate. YUMMY!

Believe me SC they are very good. Lived in California where you may eat whatever you crave. These are good.

It use to be next to Roosers', but now it is in the center below Daniel's steak house.

It's not fancy, but the pizze is awesome and very New York style.

Huge slices and tasty!

You've got to try it.

Well, I have not been to catfish corner because of the way the place looks. It must be good, it is always crowded. I prefer quieter, darker restaurants. I eat at Monet's every night. I tried Steve's cookie jar a few times and found it about the worse place I have ever been. It is like eating at a school cafeteria, it is so noisy.

When I was in your area I ate at World famous restaurant. (no comment) I liked Rib Country. Glad I only got half of the onion loaf. Very good. I ate at the one by Hiawassee and Hayesville. I think it's Rt. 69.

Well, I wouldn't mind trying out catfish corner, but my husband won't. He likes quiet, darker places.
