THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL
GEORGIA THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
POSSIBLE ACROSS WEST CENTRAL LATE TODAY AND THIS EVENING.

.SYNOPSIS...
COLD HIGH PRESSURE EXTENDING FROM CANADA INTO THE SOUTHEAST U.S.
WILL BEGIN TO SHIFT FARTHER EAST TODAY AS A STRONG LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY NORTHEAST FROM TEXAS. THIS COMPLEX LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PUSH A WARM FRONT INTO CENTRAL GEORGIA LATE
TODAY.

.PRIMARY HAZARDS...
THE PRIMARY HAZARD FROM THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS.
LARGE HAIL IS ALSO POSSIBLE. THE BEST CHANCE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
WILL BE ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM LAGRANGE TO MACON TO AMERICUS.
...FROM 6 PM TO MIDNIGHT.

.DISCUSSION...
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OR MOVE INTO NORTH
AND CENTRAL GEORGIA THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT AS A STRONG LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES EAST FROM TEXAS. LIFTED INDICES ARE EXPECTED
TO BE IN THE ZERO TO MINUS 3 RANGE WITH CAPES RANGING FROM 500 TO
1000 ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA. ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA...WHERE THE BEST
INSTABILITIES ARE EXPECTED. IN ADDITION...SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS
ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN. RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF THREE
INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA...AND A
FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THAT AREA FOR LATE TODAY AND
TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
