They probably could have had school today. I don't think it is icey out there, but you do have to think about the buses going on those high roads & back roads.

Hmmm..wondering IF we'll get anything out of this system? Northeastern states are gonna have blizzards...don't want that here, but a couple inches would be nice!

A winter weather advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am est Saturday.
Precipitation will begin late this evening over northwest georgia, then spread across the rest of the state overnight. In areas north of a line from summerville, to dawsonville, to cleveland, the precipitation will begin as rain and become a mix of rain mixed with snow and sleet overnight. Surface temperatures are expected to remain just above freezing, thus widespread significant accumulations are not expected. However, brief accumulations of 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible toward morning across area bridges and overpasses, especially in the higher elevations, making travel hazardous during the early saturday morning hours.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of rain, snow, or sleet will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

10:15 PM EST 2/10/06, expires at: 6:15 AM EST 2/11/06

Winter weather advisory remains in effect until 9 am est saturday,

Precipitation will continue to increase overnight and will fall in the form of rain across most of north and central georgia. Across areas north of a line from summerville to dawsonville to cleveland, the precipitation will change to a mixture of rain and snow after 2 am with periods of all snow possible along the tennessee and north carolina border as well as elevations above 1500 feet.
Surface temperatures are expected to remain above freezing through the night. However, a period of heavy snow may cause the temperature to fall to near freezing and the snow to quickly accumulate up to 2 inches with amounts near 3 inches possible in higher elevations. The accumulation is likely to occur only on grassy or exposed surfaces, however bridges and overpasses and some mountain roadways will likely be affected. Any snow should end by late Saturday morning.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of rain, snow, or sleet will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Just hope that LJ makes it OUT of Philly BEFORE that storm hits! He also has a layover in Atlanta before getting to Jacksonville around 8 tonight. THEN he has to drive back to Tallahassee!

Is there Internet service up on Blood Mountain? It wouldn't be too difficult to add something like that if there was.
