Pork chops on the grill....decided that sounded better than steak...and a caesar salad and garlic toast. We are in the night.

I love greens...especially collards and kale. My husband wouldn't touch 'em if someone tried to give him money. That's what I get for marrying a yankee. ( He does like beans with ham hock and cornbread so we are making progress.)

Monets was dead last night, for the first time in months. They closed about 8:15.

Maddy, maybe we can swindle Nelly and maybe Shader and a few into lunch at Grinds and Glazes! I was blown away with their sandwhiches. They are awesome!

That sounds good or Asiano! I like the salads at Grinds & Glazes, but I'm like a friend of mine. Hate to eat on a styrofoam plate!!

What did I miss? Did Schmooze say something? I am sure he wants reservations for dinner at Soup2nutz. I would be afraid to go to Grinds and Glazes, cause of all the donuts there.

Not sure Coosa. I think it's Soup to Nutz by day & turns into Cranberry Cottage by night, with reservations.

Burger King's Health Department score is 88, and the inside reflects it.

The fountain drink taps don't seem to have been cleaned lately and they stick open. Overall feel of the restaurant was "dirty". Although it was a slow period when I went through there, there were more dirty tables than clean tables.

The shift management does not appear to have a very good idea of what the customer experience could and should be.

I thought the health dept shut down places if they got below 86. Do they? If so, why is the No. 1 still open?

why did all the info from Schmooze get removed & comments after? I was happy that he was even posting again. It was nice.

Well I have not been to BK for a long, long time.

I don't think I like it at all anymore.

There are so many nice places to eat for so little.

It was more of an advertisement then a comment. I removed it. I removed a few others because they would not make sense without Schmoose's post. Schmooze, you are more then welcome to post on here. But lets try not to do too much advertising.

Well we went to Monets last night and they had a salmon special. Gary likes his with a certain sauce and Joan said, Pete, the cook, will fix it anyway you want. Wasn't that nice? So I went to the kitchen when we left and gave him a $20 tip. The cooks never get anything special! It was an excelent meal.

Coosa, have you had a chance to speak to Joan about the problem with the manager? I sure hope that gets resolved.

Coosa, would the manager be that VERY cold, unfriendly woman with the scowl on her face that was seating people last week??? We don't eat there often, but we have always been impressed by how friendly all the employees have always been, TILL NOW! Thank God, the waitress was a real sweetheart and turned things around with her cheerful attitude right away.

No, Coosa. We came back home Monday. School started back on Tuesday for my little one. I had big plans to call you and take you to Fred's for lunch but we never got up there till Wed night. Had a leak that appeared on Christmas Eve that was misdiagnosed by a plumber (looks like EVERYONE here is having problems with plumbing lately!) so when the leak was still there Monday night we had to stay and get our regular plumber out on Tuesday to really fix it. We had some projects we needed to do while we were up there without guests. We got them done but not till Saturday afternoon. Coosa darlin', meeting you in person is one of my 2006 New Years resolutions that I will not break!!! I will stay in touch and let you know when we'll be back up.

Well, I will hold you to that meeting! Sorry that I missed you this time! I hope service at Monets will improve, manager wise!
