Add a splash of blackberry liquor to your champagne or chamborge and have a wonderful kir royale.

The let's get cooking place is very nice and quite expensive, but it's all prepared by a gourmet so it's fabulous.

I have been here for 21 years, and you have seen more of this area in 4 months than I have in all those years!

I love finding new places, we are heading out to somewhere today, just have not decided what way we're going.

Find a great restaurant to eat at! The best place to eat breakfast or lunch in Gatlinburg is the pancake pantry in the center of town. across from the mountain mall.

It looks to dreary out for a long ride through a beautiful area. I should wait for a sunny day.

I think you are right. It takes about 3 hours just to get to Gatlinburg if you go over the parkway. Anna ruby falls is nice, but you have to walk. You should just go to a good restarant and PIG OUT!

I can't think of what I want.

I was going to take the kids to see Narnia movie today and they changed the times from noon to 2PM, that's a shame noon would have been nice.

Bummer I'm a real drag today.

It is just a crummy day. I hate it when the weather is like this. Life is more fun when the sun shines!

Let's get back to restaurants. Guess I will be going to one tonight. I miss it when Joan is not there.

We went to "Let's Get Cooking" for my birthday this year.

Of course, you can always to there for lunch and not spend as much. I've gotten take-out salads before.

Some of my friends have been to cooking classes there. They had one class on "Pairing Food With Wine". Do I need to tell you the class lasted for at least 3 hours and they all came back "toasted"?

Coosa,

You need to get over this way more often. This is where the food is.

My favorite restaurants for a nice night out:

Asiano (Lemon Chicken ;) )
The Chef's Table
Let's Get Cooking
The Fieldstone
Brasstown Valley Resort

And possibly Enrico's, which I haven't been to since before they moved. Haven't been to Soup to Nutz yet either.

There are other restaurants I go to also, but those are my favorites.

Actually, all my favorites are open for lunch also, except for The Fieldstone.

Cherry, are you off work this week for the holidays? Your right, noon would be better than 2pm, then you'd have the rest of the day to do other stuff with them!

I guess it is old age, but we just don't like to drive that far at night. Is Asianos in the old burger king building?

No Samantha looking for a new job, the boss was feisty about mapquest getting me lost in Atlanta.

We went to the Yacht Club today and then went through furniture shops looking for something to use as a TV stand that is not really a tv stand. I found something cute, but I will keep looking.

The lunch was just okay today, not as good as usual for the Yacht Club.

You are sheltering yourself Coosa, try it, you will like it.

But try it in the summer when you can see the lakeview. They wrapped it up with plastic to keep warm and you can't see the view, that stunk!

Huh? Who's Kandi?

No you don't eat outside....I'm saying the view is blocked with plastic wrap now, you can't see the lake.

It's inside.

We tried to go to Brothers for supper but they were covered up. We'll have to try it on a week night.

We ended up goin to Rib Country and had to wait there too so we just should have waited at the other place!

Yes - that's the building, Coosa, although with the changes they've made to it it's a lot harder to tell that's what it was before.

We went there last night and chowed down. The calamari is good with the black pepper in the batter, reminding me of P.F. Chang's version. We had the dragon roll, which is always a favorite, the veggie roll, the California roll, and tuna tutaki, which is oh-so-satisfying, in addition to several entrees from the menu. We had food all over the table!

The service is a bit on the slow side, but the food more than makes up for it. It's a great place to go!
