We went to Monet's for lunch today.

The pizza was better than my Chicken Parmesan.

Wonder what they put on that pizza to make it so tasty?

You have that right, Topaz! I called Brothers last night, but they were going to reopen tonight. I wonder if they live at the restaurant. They answered right away. I asked about brown bagging and it is allowed.

Yes, you turn left when you get to Ranger. Two people have been and said it is good, plus I saw their menu and they have things like the big chain restaurants. Potato skins, which I love!

I can make potatoe skins as good ad Ruby Tuesdays, but it is a lot of work. I just make them when I have company, which is not very often.

Brother's looks nice and it's in a location where no other restraunts are so I think it will be around for a long time, however they need to do something about the dog chasing me out of the parking lot.

I abhor large dogs, I've been attacked before, they need to get rid of that dog!

I can make them too...I just go to the grocery store and look in the freezer section for the Ruby Tuesday's box, and pop them in the oven! BUT I bet they aren't as good as your fresh homemade ones!

I have tried those and they aren't bad. You have to bake the potato, then let it cool. Then you cut in half, and scoop out most of the potato. You then deep fat fry them for a few minutes, two at a time. Then fill with cheese, onions (green) and bacon. Then reheat when you serve them so that the cheese is hot!
Makes me hungry. Monets in just 2 1/2 hours!!

That is the ones that come in the box. I don't think ruby tuesdays has them, it is TGIF. I always add a little more cheddar cheese to my frozen ones. They are pretty good.

Acutally, now that I think of it, Puddin is right. They are TGIF, not Ruby's. Oh well....guess it takes longer for the thoughts to rattle around in this old head.

We went to Monets and had to wait in line to get in. This area really needs some new restaurants!

Nelly,

You can also buy wine and stuff at "Let's Get Cooking" and it's very near Enrico's.

"Let's Get Cooking" is also a restaurant now. The owner is a chef and she gives cooking classes, does catering, sells kitchen items, and wines.

She recently added some tables and chairs and serves lunch and dinner. It's small, so you need reservations for dinner.

I will have to check out that 'let's get cooking' place soon!

I never heard of "let's get cooking". I don't go towards Hiawassee very often. Gary got a pizza at monet's last night. He brought half of it home for lunch today. I guess he is getting tired of the Christmas ham leftovers.
