PCM, thank you for the comments and email. I have passed them to my BIL. Now it is up to him to decide! However, I don't think I will go there when we are up in June! (Or perhaps any other time).

Went to Blue Ridge on Sunday and ate at The Victorian House and it was very good - better than I expected.

They used to own a shop and tea room on Main Street, and then they built this yellow Victorian house the next street over where the train is. They also have a bed and breakfast behind it.

They serve lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea. If you go for tea, you can wear one of the many fancy hats on display. ;)

We went for Sunday Brunch, but it's not a buffet; you order from the menu. Stolled in and out of shops afterward, but mostly enjoyed walking in the great weather.

My brunch partner had their Wild Mushroom Soup before his breakfast. They mention it on their web site. He raved about it.

Here is another restaurant in Blue Ridge that seemed nice.

Fawn,

According to their web site, The Victorian House needs 24-hour notice to prepare Afternoon Tea for you.

The first place didn't have anything I will eat (funny eater) but the second place had a great menu. I wish we could get some cute places like this for Blairsville. When I moved to Blue Ridge, the downtown was terrible.

Had some friends eat at Cranberry Cottage this weekend. They just walked in, not knowing about the reservations part & they were accomodated very well. But...they were very happy with the evening and said it was a wonderful dinner!

Yes, I do believe someone bought the Bear Paw building. They were cleaning the carpets last week & cars out there today. Wonder what it's going to be???

Speaking of Steve's, it is one of the noisiest places I have ever eaten in, I got a headache. I ordered from the menu and my meal was awful! I only ate there because my bridge group played there, and we had to order a meal.

DoC,

I love tea too; my drink of choice, hot or cold.

I was very disappointed when the tea house in Young Harris went out of business at the exact moment I moved to Towns County.

Coosa,

My business partner said the same thing. When he first moved to this area, he was in Blue Ridge and could walk to the downtown area.

But there was no reason to.

Well times change fast and as you can see that's not a bad thing for Blue Ridge, nor Blairsville either so far.

Good cream of mushroom....Enrico's. Super yum!

Yes, Blue Ridge has changed a lot, for the better. I use to go to an exercise place downtown.
Dave says he has spent $37K fixing up the new place, Dos Geckos.

Saw Dave at Bilo & he said probably one week for Dos Geckos to open. Can't wait!!
The Bear Paw isn't going to be a restaurant, it's going to be an Antique Mall. How many more do we need here??
