Well, I am going to have company at Monet's tonight, 3 more couples. At least they called first and asked if they could join us!

I think we'll take my nephew & his girlfriend out for dinner tonight. I don't know where we'll go, but probably mexican or yacht club.

No, they all have homes here, but 4 of them live in their full time homes in Atlanta. It is hard to hear at a long table, plus there was a big table next to us, so it was a noisy night!! She had hoped Dos Gecko would be open by April 1st, but now she says two weeks.

Ate at Deer Lodge last night, food was pretty good and enough to send you home hurting.

Is the Saw Mill or what ever it is called now serving BBQ? Some one said they had seen a sign as such, guess I will ride of down that direction and find out.

Just poped in to check on a couple of things and will sigh off in a min.

They opened a week or so ago, I saw an add in the NGN. Got there about 5 PM and still had to wait a little while.

The food there is good, nothing to write home about, but good.

Steaks are pretty large and everything I saw come by looked like large portons.

I heard that the portions were huge. I am not a big eater, so I have never tried the place.

Salad was only tomatos and lettuce but is was fresh and crispy and there was plenty of it. Their french frys are fresh cut and good also.

I've never eaten at the Deer Lodge, I keep getting mixed reviews. Some say its good others not so good. So I have just sort of not gone and tried it yet............ I say yet, I will to make up my own mind about it.

Go south of Blairsville on 129, turn left on highway 180 (like going to the Bald Mt. rd) keep on going past Bald Mt. road, hwy 180 will dead end into hwy 17 & 75, turn left (like going to Hiawassee, right will take you to Helen) go about 1/2 to 1 mile and it is on the right.

Dos Gecko's opens in about 2 weeks!! Menu looks interesting. Lot's of pulled bbq style porks & beefs. Saw a recipe to day for pulled chicken. Never had that before.

I hope the BBQ is good, I love good BBQ and haven't found any real good here. Davids was about the best before he moved.

For years I had heard how great the Deer Lodge was. Well, we finally went last season before they closed down, and honestly...I was not very impressed. But like MAC said...you gotta try a place for yourself before you know.

I saw in the real estate ads where Suzanne's (at Pappy's)is for sale. May have been up for sale for a while, but I just noticed it today.
