Monets was crowded again last night. Saw Mr.and Mrs. Nelly there last night. She says the new restaurant is going to have a margarita making machine. Sounds good!

How can you have a margarita if you can't sell the one product needed for one in Union County? Get the mix and then add your own? Hummm.

We went to Brothers last night. The food was good but we had to wait a really long time for our food. I would go there again.

I guess it will be byob for the margaritas. I don't think that is on a low carb diet. It has been years since I had one, no I take it back, we had one at a summer party!

Mexican, I guess, which I don't like at all. I got a menu from the chinese place across from the village. They have about 100 entrees, how can they all be good?

Tex-Mex Cusine is what most Americans think of as Mexican food. It's what you'll find in most Mexican restaurants.

In fact, it's a combination of influences from Texas and Mexico combined.

Here is Wikipedia's definition:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tex-Mex_cuisine

In other words, it's not authentically Mexican cuisine. It's a hybrid.

Sorry you got so sick, Schmooze. I have never eaten there. I don't care for mexican food, and I wonder if two mexican food restaurants can make it here?? Maybe Dave will fix me a hamburger!!

Schmooze, you could be allergic to MSG. My mom & sister both get migraines if they have it in their chinese. After having Asiano's, I can't go anywhere else for Chinese, Japanese, Thai.

He must be. I don't think I am allergic to anything in food, but I don't eat anything very exotic!

I liked the Chinese place in town and took the family there about twice a month. We'd fallen off from that mostly due to my travel more than anything to do with their cuisine. But I'm an omnivore with a cast iron stomach, so I may not be the best judge of culinary abilities. Service with a smile with attentiveness to the level of liquid in my glass trumps refined food tastes every time from my perspective.

Shadow, I have to agree with you about the service and smile part. I like good tasting foods but not in to fancy places! Makes the food taste, well, pricy!

As for the link you put up...Naaaa, have to dress Semi-Formal

Joan is really getting excited about the new restaurant. I think she is a frustrated decorater, she likes changing Monets around every day. She should have fun with a new place.

Took the kids to breakfast yesterday at Brother's Restraunt, man I will be back there again. It was so good.

You have the option on your hash browns of having onions, peppers, cheese and chopped ham blended in. Believe me, it's worth a try and then some.

Fabulous and an adorable environment.

I have never tried Grinds and glazes. I really wanted to try Brothers cause I love potato skins, but it is just too noisy for us. We like quiet, peaceful places.
